It was opening day at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and we were there, scarfing down bloomin' onions, swigging honey meade and cheering on the jousting knights. It was a perfect day to lay out on the grass and watch the human chess match, to stroll around the blackmith and glassblowing demonstrations and do all that kind of stuff -- huzzah! Greg came along with us, having come out earlier in the day to help rearrange our furniture after the dining room repair debacle. I wore my puffy renaissance muslin shirt which I bought at the Ashland, Oregon Shakespeare festival many years ago. However, I did not put in nearly as much effort dressing the part as the various knights, lords and ladies, many of whom had quite elaborate costumes.
